How we treat OCD
Comprehensive assessment
We review history, obsessions and compulsions, triggers, safety, medications, and goals. You receive a written plan that explains what we will do and why it matters.
DBT and coping skills
Medication when appropriate
Your prescriber discusses options, benefits, and risks in clear language and monitors response closely. Medication changes are coordinated with therapy to support daily practice.
Relapse prevention
You will create a written plan with early warning signs, coping tools, and support contacts. This plan carries forward into Aftercare and Alumni Support.
When OCD and substance use overlap
Short term relief from alcohol or drugs can intensify symptoms over time. If substance use is present, we integrate services for Alcohol Use Disorder, Opioid Use Disorder, or Stimulant Use Disorder. Options within Medication-Assisted Treatment may be included when clinically appropriate.
