Sleep and Stress Disorders
Restore rest, reduce stress, and rebuild reliable routines
Sleep and stress shape every part of recovery. When rest improves and the nervous system settles, mood stabilizes, cravings decrease, and daily life gets easier. Recovery In Motion provides integrated care that aligns psychiatry, therapy, and practical skills so you can sleep more consistently and handle stress with confidence in Tucson and Phoenix.
Why people choose Recovery In Motion
Integrated dual diagnosis expertise
Sleep and stress problems often intensify depression, anxiety, trauma symptoms, ADHD, and substance use. We coordinate Psychiatric Evaluation and Medication Management with therapy and skills so every part of care works together. See our approach to Dual Diagnosis Care.
Evidence based, skills forward care
Your plan combines CBT for insomnia strategies, DBT skills for distress tolerance and emotion regulation, and structured routines that protect sleep and reduce stress.
Structure with compassion
You will always know the plan, the purpose, and the next step. Schedules are consistent and reviewed often to keep momentum strong.

How we treat sleep and stress disorders
Comprehensive assessment
We review sleep history, routines, medical factors, medications, mental health symptoms, and substance use. You receive a written plan with clear steps and measurable goals.
DBT and coping skills for stress
Trauma informed supports
If nightmares, hypervigilance, or triggers are present, we integrate stabilization skills within our Trauma-Informed Care approach.
Psychiatric evaluation and safe medication plans
Your prescriber reviews options, interactions, and risks, and coordinates changes with your therapist. We emphasize strategies that support long term sleep health and recovery.
Lifestyle and routine repair
With Life Skills Coaching, you will build cues for consistent bedtimes, morning activation, movement as tolerated, nutrition, hydration, and digital boundaries.
Relapse prevention
You will create a written plan with early warning signs, coping tools for high stress days, and a stepwise response for sleepless nights. This plan carries forward into Aftercare and Alumni Support.
When sleep or stress and substance use overlap
Short term relief from alcohol or sedatives can worsen sleep quality and anxiety over time. If substance use is present, we integrate targeted services such as Alcohol Use Disorder, Opioid Use Disorder, or Stimulant Use Disorder. Options within Medication-Assisted Treatment may be included when clinically appropriate.
